I originally set up Sunflower Spanish over twenty years ago to offer group and private lessons to adult learners.

I learned Spanish when I lived in Valencia many years ago and have worked with the Spanish language ever since. My practical knowledge of Spanish is backed up by my academic studies. I have a degree in Linguistics from Nottingham University and a Diploma in Spanish from the Open University. ​ I am also a fully qualified Spanish to English translator.​

I love Spain and the Spanish language and am keen to ensure that you do too. My lessons focus on communication but I also teach you all the grammar you need to know in order to communicate. I aim to create an enjoyable, immersive learning experience that goes beyond the classroom.
